The Birmingham Stallions re-signed running back Bo Scarbrough and offensive lineman Cole Schneider for the 2024 season on Thursday.
Bo Scarbrough is six foot one and weighs 235 pounds. The 28-year-old from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, had two carries for -1 yard in one game against the New Jersey Generals in Week 1 before a leg injury sidelined him for the rest of the season.
The Stallions signed Scarbrough as a free agent on May 9, 2022. He had five carries for 84 yards, one touchdown, and six catches for 31 yards in six games helping the Stallions win the USFL Championship over the Philadelphia Stars in 2022. In the championship game, Scarbrough had 13 carries for 135 yards and one touchdown.
In two seasons in Birmingham, Scarbrough has seven carries for 83 yards, one touchdown, and six catches for 31 yards in seven games.
Before Birmingham, Scarbrough was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round (236th pick) of the 2018 NFL Draft but was released after training camp. Scarbrough would have stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, and Las Vegas Raiders.
He’s played seven NFL games, of which five were starts with 95 carries for 408 yards, one touchdown, and one catch for five yards.
Collegiately, Scarbrough played three seasons at Alabama (2015-17) with 267 carries for 1,512 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 21 catches for 131 yards in 34 games for the Crimson Tide. He is a two-time CFP national champion.
Cole Schneider is six foot three and weighs 315 pounds. The 25-year-old from Fort Myers, Florida, played nine games, of which one was a start. He was a key contributor in helping the Stallions win their second USFL championship in 2023.
The Stallions’ offense ranked second in passing yards per game (217), first in passing touchdowns (21), third in rushing yards per game (115.6), and seventh in allowed sacks (16). The Stallions signed Schneider as a free agent two weeks before the 2023 season began. After the season, Schneider signed with the Green Bay Packers. It was his second stint in Green Bay.
Collegiately, Schneider played four seasons at the University of Central Florida (2018-21) playing 49 games, of which 48 were starts at left guard. He was named First Team All-AAC in 2018. In his sophomore year, the Knights were ranked among national leaders in scoring and total offense.
