Delaware routes St. Francis for their second win of the season

The Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens (2-1) hosted St. Francis (PA) Red Flash on Saturday night from Delaware Stadium. This was the third time that these two played against each other dating back to 2021. Delaware won the first two meetings and the streak continued on Saturday night.

Delaware had 369 yards on offense. Quarterback Ryan O’Connor completed 13 of 24 passes (54.1%) for 192 yards, and three touchdowns.

Running back Marcus Yarns led the rushers with 12 carries for 139 yards, and one touchdown, wide receiver Joshua Youngblood led the receivers with two catches for 63 yards and one touchdown. Delaware’s defense made 71 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, two interceptions, and four pass breakups.

St. Francis (PA) had 320 yards on offense. Quarterback Cole Doyle completed 12 of 21 passes (57.1%) for 118 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and eight carries for 46 yards.

Running back Jordan Jackson had nine carries for 35 yards, and wide receiver Casey McKinney had four catches for 61 yards and one touchdown. St. Francis’s defense made 53 tackles, seven tackles for loss, five sacks, and one pass breakup.
