Rashaan Evans is six foot two and weighs 232 pounds. The 27-year-old from Auburn, Alabama, signed with the Eagles on September 11, 2023. Before Philadelphia, he played for the Atlanta Falcons last season with 159 tackles (86 solo, 73 assists), six tackles for loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and four pass breakups in 17 games.
Before Atlanta, the Tennessee Titans drafted Evans in the first round (22nd pick) of the 2018 NFL Draft. Evans played four seasons in Tennessee with 317 tackles (196 solo, 121 assists), 15 tackles for loss, three sacks, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, two interceptions, and one touchdown in 59 games, of which 50 were starts.
Collegiately, Evans played four seasons at the University of Alabama (2014-17) with 150 tackles (84 solo, 66 assists), 23.5 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 42 games for the Crimson Tide. He is a two-time CFP National Champion, First Team All-American, and First Team All-SEC.
Trey Sermon is six foot and weighs 215 pounds. The 24-year-old from St. Petersburg, Florida, played three preseason games for the Eagles with 30 carries for 105 yards, three touchdowns, six catches for 49 yards, and six kick returns for 127 yards.
The Eagles claimed Sermon off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers on September 1, 2022, and played two games. In Week 4 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Sermon had two carries for 19 yards before moving back to the practice squad.
Before Philadelphia, Sermon was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round (88th pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played nine games for the 49ers, of which two were starts with 41 carries for 167 yards, one touchdown, and three catches for 26 yards.
In 2022, Sermon played three preseason games for the 49ers with 19 carries for 39 yards, and three catches for 14 yards before San Francisco released him on August 21, 2022.
Collegiately, Sermon played three seasons at Oklahoma (2017-19) with 339 carries for 2,076 yards, with a long of 60 yards, 22 touchdowns, 36 catches for 391 yards, and three touchdowns in 37 games for the Sooners. He was named Second Team All-Big 12 in 2019.
Then, Sermon transferred to Ohio State in 2020 with 116 carries for 877 yards, four touchdowns, and 12 carries for 95 yards in eight games for the Buckeyes. He was named Second Team All-Big Ten in 2020.
