The New Orleans Breakers re-signed defensive back Jarey Elder for the 2024 season on Tuesday.

Jarey Elder is five foot eleven and weighs 195 pounds. The 26-year-old from Allentown, Pennsylvania, made 49 tackles (33 solo, 16 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, two interceptions for 27 yards, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and six pass breakups in ten games for the Breakers in 2023.

The Breakers drafted Elder in the eighth round (343rd pick) of the 2022 USFL Supplemental Draft. Elder made 44 tackles (23 solo, 21 assists), one fumble recovery, and two pass breakups in ten games for the Breakers in 2022.

Before New Orleans, Elder played the Blues (TSL) and the Milano Seamen of the Italian Football League in 2021.

Collegiately, Elder played four seasons at West Chester University (2016-19) with 187 tackles (117 solo, 70 assists), 12 tackles for loss, half a sack, 14 interceptions for 172 yards, one touchdown, 31 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, two kick returns for 34 yards, and 54 punt returns for 380 yards in 47 games for the Golden Rams. He was named First Team All-ECAC in 2017 and an All-American.
