The Philadelphia Eagles signed linebacker Kyron Johnson to the practice squad on Wednesday.

Kyron Johnson is six foot and weighs 235 pounds. The 24-year-old from Arlington, Texas, started the season on the practice squad but was released on September 8th. The Philadelphia Eagles drafted Johnson in the sixth round (181st pick) of the 2022 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, Johnson made eight tackles (6 solo, 2 assists) in 16 games for the Eagles.

Collegiately, Johnson played five seasons at Kansas (2017-21) with 191 tackles (126 solo, 65 assists), 22 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, eight forced fumbles, and five pass breakups in 57 games, of which 39 were starts for the Jayhawks.

In his senior season, Johnson had 61 tackles (41 solo, 30 assists), 7.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, four sacks, and one pass breakup in 12 games. He was named All-Big 12 Second Team in 2021.
