Delaware scores 18 unanswered points to beat New Hampshire

The Delaware fightin’ Blue Hens (3-1) hosted the New Hampshire Wildcats (2-2) on Saturday night from Delaware Stadium. The Blue Hens were 23-12 against New Hampshire, and 11-6 in Newark.

They would add another one to the win column but it did not come easy. The Blue Hens overcame an 18-point deficit to beat the Wildcats 29-25 on a rainy Saturday night.

Delaware had 501 yards on offense. Quarterback Ryan O’Connor completed 24 of 37 passes (64.9%) for 336 yards, and three touchdowns. Running back Marcus Yarns had 16 carries for 105 yards, five catches for 74 yards, and one touchdown.

Wide receiver Jourdan Townsend made five catches for 122 yards, and one touchdown. Delaware’s defense made 60 tackles, six tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, one interception, and six pass breakups.

New Hampshire had 443 yards on offense. Quarterback Max Brosmer completed 34 of 58 passes (58.6%) for 392 yards, two touchdowns, and five carries for 28 yards. Running back Dylan Laube had eight carries for eight yards.

Wide receiver D.J. Linkins made five catches for 110 yards. New Hampshire’s defense made 70 tackles, four tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and two pass breakups.
