NTT IndyCar Series releases 2024 Schedule

The NTT IndyCar Series will make its return to the Milwaukee Mile in 2024.

The NTT IndyCar Series released its 2024 schedule on Monday. The season will consist of 17 races plus an exhibition race. The big changes to the schedule are Texas Motor Speedway is out for the 2024 season, the Milwaukee Mile returns to IndyCar for the first time since 2015 hosting a doubleheader, and Nashville will be the new home for the season finale.

“There is such a great tradition and history of IndyCar racing at the Milwaukee Mile, and we are excited to build on that legacy with a Labor Day weekend NTT IndyCar Series doubleheader beginning in 2024,” said Roger Penske, chairman of Penske Corporation.

“We appreciate all the loyal and passionate IndyCar fans in Milwaukee and across the state of Wisconsin, and thanks to our partnership with the Wisconsin State Fair Park, we can’t wait to return to the Mile next season.”

The 2024 season starts on March 10th from the Streets of St. Peterburg. Then, IndyCar will have an exhibition race on March 24th from The Thermal Club in Thermal, California. Next, IndyCar returns to the Streets of Long Beach on April 21st, followed by Barber Motorsports Park on April 28th.

In May, IndyCar will race the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (road course) on May 11th, followed by the 108th running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 26th. After Indianapolis, IndyCar heads to the Streets of Detroit, Michigan, on July 2nd, followed by Road America on July 9th.

On June 23rd, IndyCar heads to the west coast at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, which hosted the last two season finale races. IndyCar returns to Mid-Ohio SportsCar Course on July 7th before hosting a doubleheader weekend at Iowa Speedway on July 13th and 14th.

On July 21st, IndyCar races the streets of Toronto before heading to World Wide Technology Raceway on August 17th, and Portland International Raceway on August 25th. IndyCar makes its return to the Milwaukee Mile for a doubleheader weekend on August 31st and September 1st before the season wraps up on the streets of Nashville, Tennessee, on September 15th.

“The upward trajectory of the NTT IndyCar Series is reflected through the 2024 schedule,” Penske Entertainment Corp. President and CEO Mark Miles said. “With stops at premier and global entertainment districts, classic American road courses, and thrilling, high-speed ovals, the 2024 season will be exhilarating and highly competitive from beginning to end.

“The growth of IndyCar is palpable. Combined with the efforts of our teams and partners, the 2024 championship will be the perfect showcase for our drivers as we continue to build on our reach and popularity.”

The NTT IndyCar Series will air its races on NBC, USA Network, and Peacock will air two exclusive races in Toronto and the first Milwaukee race. The start times for the 2024 season will be announced at a later date.
