The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed wide receiver Derel Walker and defensive lineman Jamal Davis II on Wednesday.

Derel Walker is six foot two and weighs 187 pounds. The 32-year-old from Hillsboro, Texas, played one game for the Roughriders in 2023 against the Edmonton Elks with three catches for 28 yards, and one touchdown.

Walker has missed the last seven games with a knee injury. The Roughriders signed Walker as a free agent on February 2, 2023. Last year, Walker caught 65 passes for 874 yards, and one touchdown for the Elks in 2022. Walker played two seasons in his second stint in Edmonton with 109 carries for 1,405 yards, and one touchdown in 27 games.

In 2019, Walker played one season with the Toronto Argonauts with 65 catches for 1,040 yards, six touchdowns, three carries for no yards, and one touchdown in 15 games. He was named a CFL East All-Star in 2019.

Walker signed with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2015. He played four seasons with 297 catches for 4,208 yards, 26 touchdowns, five carries for 34 yards, and one touchdown in 49 games. Walker was named a two-time CFL All-Star, a three-time CFL West All-Star, and the league’s Most Outstanding Rookie Award in 2015.

Before heading to the CFL, Walker signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2014. Walker also had stints with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Omaha Mammoths (FXFL).

Collegiately, Walker played two seasons at Trinity Valley Community College (2010-11) with 55 catches for 1,059 yards, 12 touchdowns, and four carries for 37 yards in 22 games for the Cardinals. Then, he transferred to Texas A&M (2012-13) with 59 catches for 903 yards, and five touchdowns in 25 games for the Aggies.

Jamal Davis II is six foot four and weighs 250 pounds. The 28-year-old from Canton, Ohio, made 22 tackles, one tackle on special teams, and three sacks in 14 games for the Alouettes in 2023. The Alouettes re-signed Davis II to a two-year contract on September 16, 2022.

Before Montreal, Davis II signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2019. After being released by Houston, Davis II signed with the Indianapolis Colts and was placed on the practice squad. Later, Davis II signed with the Miami Dolphins and played three regular season games. In 2020, he had stints with the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns.

The Alouettes signed Davis II in 2021. He played two seasons in Montreal (2021-22) with 27 tackles and six sacks in 15 games, of which 14 were starts. In 2022, Davis II signed with the Los Angeles Chargers but would later return to Montreal.

Collegiately, Davis II played two seasons at the University of Pittsburgh (2014-15) with one tackle in ten games for the Panthers. Then, he transferred to Akron (2017-18) with 149 tackles (86 solo, 63 assists), 31.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, one interception, two forced fumbles, and six pass breakups in 26 games for the Zips. He was named First-Team All-MAC in 2018.
