The Houston Gamblers re-signed wide receiver Anthony Ratliff-Williams, defensive end Isaiah Chambers, and defensive back Jeremiah Johnson on Friday.
Anthony Ratliff-Williams is six foot one and weighs 200 pounds. The 26-year-old from Matthews, North Carolina, made 13 catches for 224 yards, three touchdowns, and 16 kick returns for 410 yards in seven games for the Gamblers in 2023.
The Gamblers drafted Ratliff-Williams in the 15th round (119th pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. Ratliff-Williams made 28 catches for 243 yards, one touchdown, and one kick return for 15 yards in ten games for the Gamblers in 2022.
Before Houston, Ratliff-Williams signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He also had stints with the Seattle Seahawks and Las Vegas Raiders.
Collegiately, Ratliff-Williams played three seasons at North Carolina (2016-18) with 80 catches for 1,338 yards, 8 touchdowns, 14 carries for 74 yards, one touchdown, 69 kick returns for 1,631 yards, and two touchdowns in 36 games, of which 18 were starts for the Tar Heels. He was named First Team All-ACC as a specialist and Third Team All-ACC in All-Purpose yards in 2017.
Isaiah Chambers is six foot five and weighs 251 pounds. The 25-year-old from Houston, Texas, made 30 tackles (22 solo, 8 assists), 12 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and one forced fumble in ten games for the Gamblers in 2023. The Gamblers signed Chambers as a free agent on May 31, 2022, but did not play for the Gamblers.
Collegiately, Chambers started at TCU (2016-17) but never played a game for the Horned Frogs. Next, he transferred to Houston (2018-19) with 23 tackles (13 solo, 10 assists), 12 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble in 15 games for the Cougars.
Then, Chambers transferred to McNeese State (2020-21) with 91 tackles (56 solo, 35 assists), 29.5 tackles for loss, 18 sacks, five pass breakups, and five forced fumbles in 18 games for the Cowboys. He was named First Team All-Southland Conference and Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2021.
Jeremiah Johnson is six foot one and weighs 185 pounds. The 29-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland, made 33 tackles (25 solo, 8 assists), one interception for 21 yards, one fumble recovery, and four pass breakups in ten games for the Gamblers in 2023.
The Gamblers signed Johnson as a free agent on May 5, 2022. Johnson made 22 tackles (16 solo, 6 assists), one tackle for loss, one interception, and three pass breakups in seven games for the Gamblers in 2022.
Collegiately, Johnson played four seasons at Concord (2014-17) with 191 tackles (141 solo, 50 assists), seven tackles for loss, seven interceptions for 116 yards, one touchdown, and 36 pass breakups in 44 games for the Mountain Lions. He is a four-time First Team All-MEC.
