The Memphis Showboats re-signed defensive back Delrick Abrams Jr. for the 2024 season on Saturday.

Delrick Abrams Jr. is six foot three and weighs 195 pounds. The 26-year-old from Bogalusa, Louisiana, made 34 tackles (18 solo, 16 assists) and three tackles for loss in ten games for the Showboats in 2023.

The Showboats (then the Tampa Bay Bandits) drafted Abrams Jr. in the eighth round (61st pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. Abrams Jr. made 39 tackles (21 solo, 18 assists) and one tackle for loss in ten games for the Bandits in 2022.

Before Memphis, Abrams Jr. signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He played two regular season games for the Falcons. In 2021, he signed with the Los Angeles Rams and was placed on the practice squad before being released three days later.

Collegiately, Abrams Jr. played two seasons at Independence Community College (2016-17) with 61 tackles (41 solo, 20 assists), five tackles for loss, one fumble recovery, four interceptions, and nine pass breakups in 20 games for the Pirates. He was named Second Team All-Kansas after helping the Pirates win the Midwest Classic Bowl.

Then, Abrams Jr. transferred to Colorado (2018-19) with 97 tackles (73 solo, 24 assists), three tackles for loss, one sack, ten pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 21 games for the Buffaloes.
