Philadelphia Stars re-sign long-snapper Ryan Navarro

The Philadelphia Stars re-signed long-snapper Ryan Navarro for the 2024 season on Saturday.

Ryan Navarro is six foot two and weighs 223 pounds. The 29-year-old from Riverside, California, played ten games for the Stars in 2023 helping kicker Luis Aguilar make the USFL All-Star Team in 2023. Aguilar converted 25 of 29 field goals (86%) with a long of 56 yards, including scoring 24 points (8 field goals) in a win against the New Jersey Generals on May 14th.

The Stars drafted Navarro in the 35th round (276th pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. In 2022, Navarro played ten games for the Stars. Before Philadelphia, Navarro signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He would also spend time with the Washington Redskins, Memphis Express (AAF), and Los Angeles Wildcats (XFL).

Collegiately, Navarro two seasons at Riverside City College (2013-14) playing seven games with eight tackles (6 solo, 2 assists) for the Tigers. Then, he transferred to Oregon State (2015-16) with six tackles (4 solo, 2 assists) in 24 games for the Beavers. He earned Pac-12 All-Honorable Mention in 2016.
