Rutgers routes Wagner for their fourth win of the season

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights (4-1) hosted the Wagner Seahawks (2-3) on Saturday afternoon from SHI Stadium. This was the second all-time meeting between these two teams dating back to last year when Rutgers won 66-7. That trend would continue on Saturday.

Rutgers had 437 yards on offense. Quarterback Gavin Wimsatt completed 12 of 19 passes (63.2%) for 146 yards, one touchdown, seven carries for 15 yards, and two touchdowns to lead the Scarlet Knights to a 52-3 win over the Seahawks.

Rutgers running back Kyle Monangai had 19 carries for 87 yards, and one touchdown, Wide receiver JaQuae Jackson made four catches for 71 yards, and Rutgers’s defense made 51 tackles, five tackles for loss, and three sacks.

Wagner had 106 yards on offense. Quarterback Steven Krajewski completed 4 of 6 passes (66%) for 19 yards. Running back Rickey Spruill had seven carries for 36 yards, and wide receiver Kobi Ray-Reed had two catches for 10 yards. Wagner’s defense made 86 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, and one pass breakup.
