Arrow McLaren announced on Tuesday it plans to enter into a strategic alliance with Juncos Hollinger Racing for the 2024 season.
The partnership will start as a commercial and strategic focus and possibly evolve over time. The alliance will help develop talent and potential for engineers, mechanics, and drivers to build their experience.
“We’re continually working to strengthen all areas of our team, and a strategic alliance with Juncos Hollinger Racing helps both of us in leveraging our commercial and marketing power and the McLaren Racing brand in a new way,” said Gavin Ward, Arrow McLaren Team Principal.
Next season, Arrow McLaren drivers will be Pato O’Ward, David Malukas, and Alexander Rossi, while Juncos Hollinger Racing will continue with Callum Ilott and Agustin Canapino.
This season Pato O’Ward finished fourth in the championship standings for Arrow McLaren, while Alexander Rossie finished ninth. David Malukas, who raced for Dayle Coyne Racing with HMD Motorsports finished 17th.
Juncos Hollinger Racing’s Callum Ilott finished 16th in the point standings, and Agustin Canapino finished 21st overall and finished runner-up for Rookie of the Year behind Marcus Armstrong.
“Our two teams have a lot of similarities in how we’re attracting partners and building a fanbase. We’re starting out with a strategic alliance and we’ll see how that may evolve from here,” said Ricardo Juncos, President and co-owner of Juncos Hollinger Racing.
“We believe our alliance will enable us to accelerate our progress while also benefiting McLaren with commercial and talent development opportunities,” said Brad Hollinger, co-owner of Juncos Hollinger Racing.
