The Pittsburgh Maulers signed offensive lineman Sean Brown for the 2024 season on Thursday.
Sean Brown is six foot three and weighs 320 pounds. The 31-year-old from Uniondale, New York, played four games for the Stars in 2023.
The Stars’ offense ranked third in passing (213.3 yards per game), finished last in rushing (77 yards per game), 20 touchdowns, and allowed a league-high 29 sacks in 2023. The Stars drafted Brown in the 20th round (156th pick) in the 2022 USFL Draft.
In 2022, Brown played nine games for the Stars helping them reach the USFL Championship Game against the Birmingham Stallions. The Stars’ offense ranked sixth in passing (184 yards per game), fifth in rushing (103.4 yards per game), and 31 touchdowns.
Before Philadelphia, Brown was a member of the XFL Team 9 in 2020, a practice squad that supplemented players to all XFL teams in case of injury throughout the season. In 2019, Brown played for the Salt Lake Stallions (AAF), and the Philadelphia Soul (AFL). In 2021, he was with the Generals (TSL).
Collegiately, Brown played two seasons at Nassau Community College (2012-13) for the Lions. Then, he transferred to Mississippi Valley State and played two seasons (2014-15) at Mississippi Valley State in 22 games for the Delta Devils.
