The Rutgers Scarlet Knights (4-2) visited Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday afternoon against the Wisconsin Badgers (4-1) in Big Ten action.

The Scarlet Knights were 3-51 against Wisconsin and lost four straight games to the Badgers heading into this game. Unfortunately, the losing streak continued on Saturday afternoon.

Rutgers had 275 yards on offense. Quarterback Gavin Wimsatt completed 16 of 35 passes (45.7%) for 181 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and nine carries for 43 yards in a 24-13 loss to Wisconsin. The Scarlet Knights are now 3-52 all-time against Wisconsin and have lost five straight games.

Backup quarterback Evan Simon completed 2 of 3 passes (66%) for 30 yards, and one touchdown. Running back Kyle Monangai had eight carries for 16 yards, and wide receiver Ian Strong made four catches for 45 yards, and one touchdown. Rutgers’ defense made 66 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, two pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries.

Wisconsin had 358 yards on offense. Quarterback Tanner Mordecai completed 17 of 31 passes (54.8%) for 145 yards, one touchdown, and 11 carries for 50 yards. Running back Braelon Allen had 21 carries for 101 yards, one touchdown, and two catches for 14 yards.

Wide receiver Will Pauling made eight catches for 68 yards. Wisconsin’s defense made 43 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, and two pass breakups.
