Ryan O’Connor throws four touchdowns in a Blue Hens win

The Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens (4-1) hosted the Duquesne Dukes (2-3) from Delaware Stadium on Saturday afternoon in their second meeting. Delaware led the all-time series 1-0 and continued the streak on Saturday.

Delaware had 466 yards on offense. Quarterback Ryan O’Connor completed 28 of 40 passes (70%) for 347 yards, four touchdowns, one interception, and eight carries for 18 yards in a Fightin’ Blue Hens 43-17 win over the Dukes.

Running back Marcus Yarns had 11 carries for 42 yards, and two touchdowns, and wide receiver Chandler Harvin had five catches for 83 yards and one touchdown.

Wide receivers JoJo Bermudez, Phil Lutz, and Joshua Youngblood combined with 12 catches logging 146 yards, and three touchdowns. Delaware’s defense made 56 tackles, seven tackles for loss, two sacks, three interceptions, and one pass breakup.

Duquesne had 290 yards on offense. Quarterback Darius Perrantes completed 9 of 17 passes (52.9%) for 128 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions.

Running back Edward Robinson had 8 carries for 86 yards, and one touchdown, and wide receiver Darryl Powell Jr. had two catches for 59 yards and one touchdown. Duquesne’s defense made 60 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, and two pass breakups.
