The Memphis Showboats released tight end Cheyenne O’Grady and offensive lineman Sadarius Hutcherson on Thursday.
Cheyenne O’Grady is six foot four and weighs 245 pounds. The 27-year-old from Fayetteville, Arkansas, made two catches for nine yards in two games for the Showboats in 2023. He was later placed on the suspended list.
The Showboats (then the Tampa Bay Bandits) drafted O’Grady in the 34th round (269th pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. O’Grady made 32 catches for 371 yards, and two touchdowns in ten games, of which eight were starts for the Bandits in 2022. Before Memphis, O’Grady signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2021.
Collegiately, O’Grady played four seasons at Arkansas (2016-19) with 87 catches for 967 yards, 12 touchdowns, and one carry for three yards in 35 games, of which 12 were starts for the Razorbacks.
Sadarius Hutcherson is six foot four and weighs 315 pounds. The 25-year-old from Huntingdon, Tennessee, did not play for the Showboats in 2023. Memphis was ranked sixth in passing yards per game (172.4), sixth in passing touchdowns (10), sixth in rushing yards per game (85.9), and seventh in rushing touchdowns (4).
The Showboats signed Hutcherson as a free agent on February 15, 2023. Before Memphis, Hutcherson signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2021.
Collegiately, Hutcherson played five seasons at South Carolina (2016-20) playing guard and tackle in 39 tackles for the Gamecocks. He was Second Team All-SEC by Pro Football Focus in 2020.
