Delaware cruises to their fourth straight win over North Carolina A&T

Delaware running back Kyron Cumby scored two touchdowns against North Carolina A&T on Saturday.

The Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens (5-1) hosted the North Carolina A&T Aggies (1-5) on a rainy Saturday afternoon from Delaware Stadium. This was the second all-time meeting between these two teams dating back to 1978 when the Blue Hens won the game 26-0. The winning streak would continue on Saturday.

Delaware had 379 yards on offense. Quarterback Ryan O’Connor completed 8 of 21 passes (38.1%) for 57 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and seven carries for 15 yards. Running back Kyron Cumby had 20 carries for 144 yards, and two touchdowns leading Delaware to a 21-6 win. Delaware has now four straight games.

Delaware wide receiver JoJo Bermudez made three catches for 28 yards. Delaware’s defense made 71 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, one sack, four pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries.

North Carolina A&T had 196 yards on offense. Quarterback Kevin White completed 7 of 17 passes (41.2%) for 31 yards, and 10 carries for 22 yards. Running back Wesley Graves had 20 carries for 83 yards, and wide receiver Taymon Cooke made one catch for 10 yards.

North Carolina A&T’s defense made 79 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, seven pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.
