Temple gets blown out by North Texas

The Temple Owls (2-5) visited DATCU Stadium on Saturday afternoon against the North Texas Mean Green (3-3) in AAC action. The Owls were looking to snap a three-game losing streak. Unfortunately, the losing streak continued on Saturday.

Temple had 347 yards on offense. Quarterback Quincy Patterson completed 12 of 30 passes (40%) for 105 yards, three interceptions, 24 carries for 113 yards, and one touchdown as the Owls lost to the Mean Green by the final score of 45-14. They have now lost four straight games.

Temple running back Darvon Hubbard had 11 carries for 69 yards, and one touchdown, while wide receiver Amad Anderson Jr. made two catches for 22 yards. Temple’s defense made 59 tackles, six tackles for loss, four sacks, and five pass breakups.

North Texas had 527 yards on offense. Quarterback Chandler Rogers completed 25 of 39 passes (64.1%) for 307 yards, and four touchdowns. Running back Oscar Adaway III had seven carries for 94 yards, and one touchdown.

North Texas wide receiver Ja’Mori Maclin made six catches for 163 yards and two touchdowns. North Texas’s defense made 71 tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks, three pass breakups, and three interceptions.
