Philadelphia Eagles sign 7-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones

The Philadelphia Eagles signed 7-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones to the practice squad on Tuesday. This will be Jones’s fourth team in four years.

Julio Jones is six foot three and weighs 220 pounds. The 34-year-old from Foley, Alabama, played one season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022 with 24 catches for 299 yards (12.5 YAC), two touchdowns, and five carries for 45 yards in ten games.

Before Tampa Bay, Jones was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the first round (6th pick) of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played ten seasons in Atlanta with 848 catches for 12,896 yards (15.2 YAC), 60 touchdowns, and 19 carries for 118 yards in 135 games.

During his tenure with Atlanta, Jones was named to the Pro Bowl seven times (2012, 2014-19), a two-time First Team All-Pro (2015-16), two-time NFL receiving yards leader (2015, 2018), NFL receptions co-leader (2015), NFL 2010s All-Decade Team, and the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2011. After Atlanta, Jones signed with the Tennessee Titans in 2021. He made 31 catches for 434 yards, and one touchdown in ten games.

Collegiately, Jones played three seasons at Alabama (2008-10) with 179 catches for 2,653 yards, 15 touchdowns, 10 carries for 139 yards, two touchdowns, seven kick returns for 162 yards, and 12 punt returns for 130 yards in 40 games for the Crimson Tide.

He is a member of the 2009 BCS National Championship team, First Team All-SEC (2010), Second Team All-SEC (2008), and SEC Freshman of the Year (2008).
