Michigan Panthers sign defensive end D’Anthony Jones

The Michigan Panthers signed defensive end D’Anthony Jones for the 2024 season on Monday according to Jones’s agent Vic Enwere.

D’Anthony Jones is six foot and weighs 276 pounds. The 24-year-old from Lawndale, California, signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He played three preseason games with three tackles (3 solo) and two quarterback hits.

Collegiately, Jones played one season at Long Beach City College in 2019 with 62 tackles (41 solo, 21 assists), 24 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, five interceptions for 57 yards, and two pass breakups in nine games for the Vikings. He was named First Team All-CCCFCA in 2019.

Then, Jones transferred to Houston (2020-22) with 65 tackles (45 solo, 20 assists), 23.5 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, nine forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 30 games for the Cougars.
