The Toronto Argonauts re-signed wide receiver David Ungerer to a two-year contract through the 2025 season and defensive back Josh Hagerty to a one-year extension through the 2024 season on Monday.

David Ungerer III is five foot ten and weighs 171 pounds. The 28-year-old from Pullman, Washington, made 35 catches for 491 yards, and three touchdowns in 17 games for the Argonauts in 2023. The Argonauts signed Ungerer III as a free agent on March 9, 2023.

Before Toronto, he caught 16 passes for 225 yards, and one touchdown in 14 games for the Ticats in 2022. He played three seasons in Hamilton (2019, 2021-22) with 33 catches for 456 yards and two touchdowns in 38 games. The Ticats drafted Ungerer III in the second round (11th pick) in the 2019 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Ungerer III played five seasons at Idaho (2014-18) with 116 catches for 1,225 yards, ten touchdowns, one carry for nine yards, one touchdown, 14 kick returns for 232 yards, and 36 punt returns for 341 yards for one touchdown in 34 games for the Vandals.

Josh Hagerty is six foot three and weighs 200 pounds. The 25-year-old from Regina, Saskatchewan, made eight tackles, and one tackle on special teams in three games for the Argonauts in 2023.

The Argonauts drafted Hagerty in the sixth round (47th pick) of the 2021 CFL Draft. In three seasons, Hagerty has 23 tackles, 16 tackles on special teams, and one forced fumble in 17 games.

Collegiately, Hagerty played five seasons at the University of Saskatchewan (2016-20) with 45 tackles (41 solo, 4 assists), four interceptions for nine yards, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 22 games for the Huskies. He is a member of the 2018 Hardy Cup championship team, where he made one interception over Calgary 43-18.
