Callum Ilott and Juncos Hollinger Racing Part Ways

Callum Ilott raced three seasons for Juncos Hollinger Racing.

Juncos Hollinger Racing and driver Callum Ilott agreed to mutually part ways on Thursday.

The 24-year-old from Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, finished 16th in the point standings. His highest finish in the 2023 season was fifth twice at St. Petersburg and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. He led five laps throughout the season.

“I want to extend my gratitude to Juncos Hollinger Racing for the opportunity to be part of their team,” Ilott said. “I have immense respect for the organization, and our time together has been a valuable experience. I look forward to exploring new opportunities and challenges in my racing career.

In the 2022 season, Callum Ilott finished 20th in the points standings with two top-ten finishes at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course (8th) and Portland International Raceway (9th). His highest qualifying position is seventh, twice in Indianapolis Road Course and Toronto.

“While it is with mixed emotions that we bid farewell to Callum Ilott,” said Ricardo Juncos, co-owner of Juncos Hollinger Racing, “I would like to express my gratitude to Callum for all of his efforts during his time with our team, and we deeply appreciate his contributions.

“We wish him the very best in his future endeavors. Callum has shown immense talent, and we have no doubt that he will continue to make his mark in the world of motorsport.”

Before IndyCar, Callum Ilott started his racing career in the Toyota Racing Series. Then, moved to the FIA Formula 3 European Championship racing three seasons with Carlin, Van Amersfoort Racing, and Prema Powerteam. Ilott won five races and in his final season finished fifth in the point standings.

Next, he moved to the GP3 Series in 2018 for ART Grand Prix winning two races and seven podium finishes. He finished third in the championship standings. Then, Ilott went to the FIA Formula 2 Championship for three seasons racing for Trident, Sauber Junior Team by Charouz, and UNI-Virtuosi. When he raced for UNI-Virtuosi, Ilott won three races, six poles, and eight podium finishes to finish second in the championship standings.

In 2021, he made his way to IndyCar with Juncos Hollinger Racing competing in three races. His highest finish was 22nd place at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

“While we bid farewell to Callum as a driver for Juncos Hollinger Racing, we wish him every success in his next chapter,” said co-owner Brad Hollinger. “We have no doubt that his talent and determination will continue to shine.”

Juncos Holling Racing will provide updates to its driver lineup for the upcoming season in due course.
