The Pittsburgh Maulers re-signed linebacker Malcolm Howard for the 2024 season on Friday.
Malcolm Howard is six foot three and weighs 225 pounds. The 30-year-old from Houston, Texas, made 19 tackles (8 solo, 11 assists), half a sack, and one pass breakup in six games for the Maulers in 2023.
The Maulers drafted Howard in the 30th round (248th pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. In 2022, Howard made 8 tackles (3 solo, 5 assists) and one tackle for loss in seven games. Before Pittsburgh, Howard played for the Generals (TSL).
Collegiately, Howard played two seasons at Navarro College (2011-12) with 27 tackles (19 solo, 8 assists) and two sacks in nine games for the Bulldogs. Then, he transferred to Central Oklahoma (2013-15) with 212 tackles (96 solo, 116 assists), 1.5 sacks, and one interception in 25 games for the Broncos.
