The Penn State Nittany Lions (7-1) hosted the Indiana Hoosiers (2-6) on Saturday afternoon from Beaver Stadium. This was the 27th all-time meeting between these two teams. Penn State had won three straight games against the Hoosiers. That streak would continue on Saturday.
Penn State had 342 yards on offense. Quarterback Drew Allar completed 20 of 31 passes (64.5%) for 210 yards, three touchdowns, one interception, and eight carries for five yards leading the Nittany Lions to a 33-24 win over the Hoosiers. Penn State has now won four straight games against Indiana.
Penn State running back Kaytron Allen had 18 carries for 81 yards, and two catches for 13 yards, while Nicholas Singleton had 15 carries for 50 yards, one touchdown, and five catches for 31 yards.
Wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith, and tight ends Theo Johnson and Khalil Dinkins combined with nine catches logging 126 yards, and three touchdowns. Penn State’s defense made 52 tackles, four tackles for loss, three sacks, one pass breakup, and one interception.
Indiana had 349 yards on offense. Quarterback Brendan Sorsby completed 13 of 19 passes (68.4%) for 269 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Running back Josh Henderson had 12 carries for 57 yards.
Wide receiver DeQuece Carter made three catches for 104 yards, and one touchdown. Indiana’s defense made 72 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks, two pass breakups, and one interception.
