A.J. Brown catches two touchdowns leading the Eagles to victory in Washington

Philadelphia wide receiver A.J. Brown makes a one handed catch against Washington on Sunday.

The Philadelphia Eagles (7-1) visited FedEx Field on Sunday afternoon against the Washington Commanders (3-5) for the final time this season. In their first matchup, the Eagles beat the Commanders in overtime 34-31 at Lincoln Financial Field.

Philadelphia had 374 yards on offense. Quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 29 of 38 passes (76.3%) for 319 yards, four touchdowns, and four carries for six yards. Running back D’Andre Swift had 16 carries for 57 yards and one touchdown. The Eagles offense turned the ball over two times.

Philadelphia wide receiver A.J. Brown had a big game making 8 catches for 130 yards, and two touchdowns. Wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Julio Jones combined with eight catches logging 107 yards, and two touchdowns. Philadelphia’s defense made 66 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, six quarterback hits, one interception, and five pass breakups.

Washington had 472 yards on offense. Quarterback Sam Howell completed 39 of 52 passes (75%) for 397 yards, four touchdowns, one interception, and three carries for 11 yards. Running back Brian Robinson Jr. had 10 carries for 59 yards.

Washington wide receivers Jahan Dotson, Jamison Crowder, Terry McLaurin, and Logan Thomas combined with 26 catches for 310 yards, and four touchdowns. Washington’s defense made 61 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, four quarterback hits, three pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries.
