The Reading Royals signed defenseman Dilan Peters to a standard player contract (SPC) on Monday.
Dilan Peters is six foot six and weighs 220 pounds. The 22-year-old from Sarnia, Ontario, played four games for the Birmingham Bulls (SPHL) this season with two penalty minutes.
Before Birmingham, Peters played three seasons in the NAHL for the Shreveport Mudbugs and St. Cloud Norsemen earning five points (1 goal, 4 assists), and 106 penalty minutes in 63 games. Next, he played one season at Lakehead University in the 2021-22 season with 65 penalty minutes in 12 games for the Thunderwolves.
After Lakehead, Peters signed with the Wheeling Nailers for the 2022-23 season. He earned three points (3 assists) and 28 penalty minutes in 20 games. Then, on December 6, 2022, Peters was traded to the Newfoundland Growlers. He played seven games with four penalty minutes.
