The Birmingham Stallions signed defensive back Nevelle Clarke for the 2024 season on Thursday.
Nevelle Clarke is six foot one and weighs 187 pounds. The 26-year-old from Miami, Florida, made 26 tackles (21 solo, 5 assists), one tackle for loss, two interceptions for 14 yards, one forced fumble, and seven pass breakups in nine games for the New Orleans Breakers in 2023.
After the season, the Breakers released Clarke on August 14, 2023, to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers a day later. He played one preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons but recorded no stats.
The Breakers signed Clarke as a free agent on April 1, 2022. He made 15 tackles (10 solo, 5 assists), two tackles for loss, one interception for 37 yards, one fumble recovery, and seven pass breakups in eight games for the New Orleans Breakers in 2022. Before New Orleans, Clarke signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2020.
Collegiately, Clarke played four seasons at UCF (2016-19) with 107 tackles (92 solo, 15 assists), seven tackles for loss, one sack, five interceptions for 48 yards, one touchdown, one fumble recovery, and 29 pass breakups in 37 games for the Knights. He was named First Team All-AAC in 2018.
