The Montreal Alouettes signed linebacker Myles Manalo to the practice squad on Thursday.
Myles Manalo is six foot two and weighs 230 pounds. The 24-year-old from Burlington, Ontario, was on the Ticats practice squad for most of the 2023 season. In 2022, Manalo made two tackles on special teams in two games for the Ticats. Manalo played 13 games for the Ticats between 2021 through 2023.
The Ticats drafted Manalo in the sixth round (54th pick) in the 2021 CFL Draft. In his rookie year, Manalo played three games for the Ticats in 2021. This will be Manalo’s third season in Hamilton.
Collegiately, Manalo played two seasons at the University of Western Ontario (2017, 2019) with 70 tackles (28 solo, 42 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, one interception, three pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 21 games for the Mustangs. In his final season, Manalo made 60 tackles, one interception, three pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in ten games.
