Juncos Hollinger Racing announced on Thursday that Romain Grosjean will join the team in the team driving the No. 77 Dallara-Chevrolet for the 2024 season replacing Callum Ilott, who parted ways on October 26th.

The 37-year-old from Geneva, Switzerland finished in 13th place in the 2023 NTT IndyCar Series championship with two poles (St. Petersburg, Birmingham), two top-five finishes, and three top-ten finishes leading 96 laps for Andretti Autosport.

“I’ve been closely following JHR’s ascension in the past few seasons,” said Grosjean. “The team has showcased significant growth, and I am eager to contribute my experience as we aim for a strong 2024 season.”

Grosjean joined IndyCar in 2021 racing for Dale Coyne Racing with one pole (Indianapolis G.P.), four top-five finishes, and six top-ten finishes leading 53 laps in 13 races. In 2022, he joined Andretti Autosport with three top-five finishes, and seven top-ten finishes leading three laps in 17 races.

“Romain brings an unparalleled pedigree in motorsports,” said JHR co-owner and team principal Ricardo Juncos. “His leadership and experience are precisely what we need to propel JHR to new heights in the NTT IndyCar Series.”

Before IndyCar, Grosjean raced Formula 1 for nine seasons with Lotus F1 and Haas F1. In his nine seasons, Grosjean had ten podium finishes and led 40 laps. Grosjean won championships in the Formula Lista Junior 1.6 (2003), French Formula Renault (2005), Formula 3 Euro Series (2007), two-time GP2 Asia Series champion (2008, 2011), Auto GP (2010), and GP2 Series (2011).

“Romain has a history of competing at the pinnacle of motorsports,” said JHR co-owner Brad Hollinger. “His expertise will be invaluable as we strive to redefine our performance metrics, both on and off the track.”

Grosjean will be teammates with Agustin Canapino, who re-signed with JHR last month. Grosjean will make his JHR debut in St. Petersburg on March 10, 2024, on NBC.
