Philadelphia Eagles hold off Dallas for their eighth win of the season

The Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) hosted the Dallas Cowboys (5-3) on a late Sunday afternoon from Lincoln Financial Field. This was the 129th meeting between these two teams.

Philadelphia had 292 yards on offense. Quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 17 of 23 passes (74%) for 207 yards, two touchdowns, 10 carries for 36 yards, and one touchdown. Running back D’Andre Swift had 18 carries for 43 yards, and Kenneth Gainwell had 3 carries for 22 yards and one touchdown.

Philadelphia wide receiver A.J. Brown made 7 catches for 66 yards, and one touchdown, DeVonta Smith made 3 catches for 51 yards and one touchdown, and tight end Dallas Goedert made 3 catches for 50 yards before an injury took him out for the rest of the game.

Philadelphia’s defense made 70 tackles, four tackles for loss, five sacks, 10 quarterback hits, six pass breakups, and one fumble recovery. The Eagles committed 10 penalties for 98 yards.

Dallas had 406 yards on offense. Quarterback Dak Prescott completed 29 of 44 passes (66%) for 374 yards, three touchdowns, and six carries for 14 yards. Running back Tony Pollard had 12 carries for 51 yards and 3 catches for 12 yards.

Dallas wide receiver Jalen Tolbert made 3 catches for 49 yards, and tight end Jake Ferguson made 7 catches for 91 yards and one touchdown. Dallas’s defense made 62 tackles, two tackles for loss, three sacks, four quarterback hits, and one pass breakup. The Cowboys committed 10 penalties for 83 yards.
