The Reading Royals (2-6-1-1) hosted the Norfolk Admirals (6-3-1-1) for the second time in two days on Saturday night from the Santander Arena.
A minute and fifty-nine seconds into the first quarter, Justin Robidas put the Admirals up 1-0 with assists from Ronan Seeley and Yaniv Perets. A minute and seventeen seconds later, Reading’s Yvan Mongo tied the game 1-1 with assists by Brendan Hoffmann and Connor Fedorek. The Royals had six shots on goal but the game remained tied 1-1 after one period.
After a scoreless second period, Norfolk’s Brian Bowen broke the tie at 17:50 which made it 2-1 Admirals with assists by Keegan Iverson and Ronan Seeley. The Royals lost to the Admirals by the final score of 2-1.
The Royals had 24 shots on goal, committed two penalties for nine minutes, went 0 for 2 on the power play, and Will Cranley made 26 saves off 28 shots.
