Philadelphia Eagles sign OL Ross Pierschbacher and release DB Kindle Vildor

The Philadelphia Eagles signed offensive lineman Ross Pierschbacher to the practice squad and released defensive back Kindle Vildor from the practice squad on Monday.

Ross Pierschbacher is six foot four and weighs 310 pounds. The 28-year-old from Cedar Falls, Iowa, played one preseason game for the Detroit Lions in 2023. Before Detroit, the Washington Redskins drafted Pierschbacher in the fifth round (153rd pick) of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Pierschbacher also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020, the New York Jets, and Detroit Lions. He played 11 career NFL games including three for the Eagles in 2020.

Collegiately, Pierschbacher played four seasons at Alabama (2015-18) playing guard and center in 58 games for the Crimson Tide. He was a two-time CFP National Champion (2015, 2017), a two-time First Team All-SEC (2017-18), and a Second Team All-SEC (2016).

In his senior year at Alabama, he was part of an offensive line that helped open holes for the 42nd-ranked rushing offense (198.4 ypg), the No. 3 scoring offense (45.6 ppg), and the No. 6 total offense (522.0 ypg) while providing time for the nation’s No. 1 pass efficiency offense (197.34) and No. 6 passing offense (323.6 ypg).

Kindle Vildor is five foot eleven and weighs 190 pounds. The 25-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia, signed with the Eagles on October 20, 2023, and was placed on the practice squad.

Before Philadelphia, Vildor played three preseason games for the Chicago Bears in 2023 with four tackles. Then, Vildor played two regular season games for the Tennessee Titans with one tackle. The Titans released Vildor on October 14, 2023.

The Chicago Bears drafted Vildor in the fifth round (163rd pick) of the 2020 NFL Draft. Vildor spent three seasons in Chicago with 97 tackles (67 solo, 30 assists), three tackles for loss, one quarterback hit, one interception for 18 yards, and ten pass breakups in 44 games, of which 22 were starts.

Collegiately, Vildor played four seasons at Georgia Southern (2016-19) with 95 tackles (73 solo, 22 assists), 9 tackles for loss, one sack, 9 interceptions for 36 yards, 33 pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 48 games for the Eagles. He was a two-time First Team All-Sun Belt (2018-19).
