The New Jersey Generals signed offensive lineman Charles Baldwin for the 2024 season on Wednesday.
Charles Baldwin is six foot five and weighs 305 pounds. The 29-year-old from Windsor, Connecticut, played two games, of which he started one for the Pittsburgh Maulers in 2023.
The Maulers drafted Baldwin in the seventh round (51st pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. Baldwin played four games, of which three were starts. Before Pittsburgh, Baldwin signed with the B.C. Lions on October 9, 2019, but the CFL season was canceled in 2020.
Collegiately, Baldwin played two seasons at ASA College (2014-15) earning Second Team NJCAA All-America honors as a sophomore in 2015 for the Avengers. Next, he went to Alabama in 2106 but was dismissed from the team due to a “violation of team rules.”
Then, Baldwin transferred to Kansas in 2017 but did not see any action for the Jayhawks. After Kansas, Baldwin went to Youngstown State in 2018 playing tackle in 10 games, of which nine were starts for the Penguins.
