The Calgary Stampeders re-signed quarterback Chris Reynolds and offensive lineman Brandon Weldon for the 2024 season on Wednesday.

Chris Reynolds is five foot eleven and weighs 202 pounds. The 25-year-old from Flemington, New Jersey, played one game for the Stampeders in 2023 completing 1 of 2 passes (50%) for five yards against the B.C. Lions in Week 10.

Collegiately, Reynolds played five seasons at Charlotte (2018-22) completing 793 of 1,273 passes (62%) for 10,271 yards, 84 touchdowns, 35 interceptions, 375 carries for 887 yards, 12 touchdowns, two catches for 46 yards, and one touchdown in 46 games for the 49ers.

Reynolds was a four-time Honorable Mention All-Conference USA and two-time Pro Football Focus All-Conference USA Second Team.

Brandon Weldon is six foot three and weighs 300 pounds. 24-year-old from Los Angeles, California, started three games for the Stampeders in 2023 playing left tackle.

Collegiately, Weldon played four seasons at Sacramento State (2018-19, 2021-22) in 48 games for the Hornets. In his final season, Weldon started 11 games at right guard before moving to left guard during the FCS playoffs. He was part of an offensive line that helped set the school record with 3,163 rushing yards and 36 rushing touchdowns. He was named First Team All-Big Sky and Associated Press Second Team All-American in 2022.

In his junior season, Weldon was named Second Team All-Big Sky after starting 12 games at right guard. He was part of an offensive line that averaged 4.6 yards per rush attempt and allowed just 18 sacks during the season.
