Derek Barnett is six foot three and weighs 259 pounds. The 27-year-old from Nashville, Tennessee, made three tackles (2 solo, 1 assist) in six games for the Eagles in 2023.

The Eagles drafted Barnett in the first round (14th pick) of the 2017 NFL Draft. Barnett played seven seasons in Philadelphia with 150 tackles (96 solo, 54 assists), 37 tackles for loss, 21.5 sacks, 76 quarterback hits, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and one touchdown in 73 games, of which 45 were starts for the Eagles.

Barnett’s most memorable season came in rookie year with 21 tackles (18 solo, 3 assist), eight tackles for loss, five sacks, 16 quarterback hits, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, and one touchdown in 15 games. He was named PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2017.

Collegiately, Barnett played three seasons at Tennessee (2014-16) with 197 tackles (131 solo, 66 assists), 52 tackles for loss, 33 sacks, one interception for seven yards, seven pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 39 games for the Volunteers. He was named First Team All-SEC and All-American in 2016.
