The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed quarterback Terry Wilson, running back Jonathan Rosery, wide receivers Bryce Mitchell and Ontaria Wilson, defensive linemen Nate Givhan, Jamal Woods, and Collin Kornelson, linebacker Max Charbonneau, and defensive back Bret MacDougall on Tuesday.

Terry Wilson is six foot two and weighs 207 pounds. The 25-year-old from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, completed 11 of 17 passes (64.7%) for 138 yards, one touchdown, and 18 carries for 95 yards in five games, of which he started one for the Gamblers in 2023. The Gamblers released Wilson on September 19, 2023.

The Gamblers signed Wilson as a free agent on May 27, 2022. He appeared in one game for the Gamblers in 2022. Before Houston, Wilson was invited to the Dallas Cowboys rookie minicamp but was never offered a contract.

Collegiately, Wilson redshirted at Oregon in 2016 before transferring to Garden City Community College in 2017 completing 194 of 337 passes (57.6%) for 2,113 yards, 26 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, 126 carries for 518 yards, and five touchdowns in 11 games for the Bronco Busters.

Next, Wilson transferred to Kentucky (2018-20) completing 338 of 520 passes (65%) for 3,436 yards, 20 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 256 carries for 1,015 yards, and ten touchdowns in 27 games for the Wildcats.

Then, Wilson transferred to New Mexico in 2021 completing 101 of 174 passes (58%) for 1,058 yards, 7 touchdowns, 4 interceptions, six carries for 52 yards, and one touchdown in seven games for the Lobos.

Jonathan Rosery is five foot nine and weighs 193 pounds. The 23-year-old from Edmonton, Alberta, was named a Canada West All-Star in 2022 with 36 carries for 160 yards, 29 catches for 536 yards, and two touchdowns in six games for the Golden Bears.

Rosery played four seasons at the University of Alberta (2019, 2021-23) with 139 carries for 748 yards, one touchdown, 114 catches for 1,710 yards, 10 touchdowns, and ten kick returns for 211 yards in 29 games.

Bryce Mitchell is six foot three and weighs 210 pounds. The 25-year-old from Toledo, Ohio, played five years at Toledo (2017-21) with 70 catches for 1,297 yards, 11 touchdowns, 1 carry for 12 yards, 10 kick returns for 277 yards, and 2 punt returns for 7 yards in 52 games for the Rockets.

Ontaria Wilson is six foot and weighs 180 pounds. The 24-year-old from Ashburn, Georgia, signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He played in three preseason games with 1 catch for 14 yards.

Collegiately, Wilson played five seasons at Florida State (2018-22) with 108 catches for 1,521 yards, 12 touchdowns, 7 carries for 57 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 kick return for 27 yards, and 8 punt returns for 79 yards in 51 games for the Seminoles.

Nate Givhan is six foot four and weighs 245 pounds. The 25-year-old from Montgomery, Alabama, was on the Blue Bombers practice squad in 2023. He was released by Winnipeg on September 28, 2023.

Before Winnipeg, Givhan played his final season at Toledo, Givhan had 27 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, and one forced fumble in 11 games for the Rockets in 2022.

In addition, he had two tackles and one sack in the RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl as the Rockets defeated the Liberty Flames 21-19 and was named defensive MVP.

Givhan played five seasons at Toledo (2018-22) with 97 tackles (48 solo, 49 assists), 16.5 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, one interception, two pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 47 games for the Rockets.

Jamal Woods is six foot two and weighs 294 pounds. The 24-year-old from Hueytown, Alabama, signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2023. After the Colts released him, Woods signed with the Miami Dolphins and played one preseason game with one tackle against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Collegiately, Woods played six seasons at Illinois (2017-22) with 78 tackles (47 solo, 31 assists), 17 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 3 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble in 49 games for the Fighting Illini.

Collin Kornelson is six foot three and weighs 240 pounds. The 23-year-old from Winnipeg, Manitoba, was drafted by the Blue Bombers in the fifth round (44th pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft.

Kornelson played five seasons at the University of Manitoba (2018-19, 2021-23) with 64 tackles (43 solo, 21 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one pass breakup in 16 games for the Bisons. In addition, Kornelson minor football for the Valour Patriots and then the St. Paul’s Crusaders.

Max Charbonneau is six foot three and weighs 225 pounds. The 24-year-old from Ottawa, Ontario, was drafted by the Blue Bombers in the eighth round (71st pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft.

Charbonneau played five seasons at the University of Ottawa (2018-19, 2021-23) with 115.5 tackles (82 solo, 67 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one pass breakup, and two blocked punts in 36 games for the Gee-Gees.

Bret MacDougall is six foot three and weighs 205 pounds. The 22-year-old from LaSalle, Ontario, was drafted by the Blue Bombers in the sixth round (53rd pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft.

MacDougall played four seasons at the University of Windsor (2019, 2021-23) with 102 tackles (73 solo, 29 assists), four tackles for loss, six interceptions for 17 yards, 10 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries in 29 games for the Lancers. He was named a 2022 U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian and participated in the 2022 East-West Bowl.
