The Birmingham Stallions signed linebacker Travin Howard for the 2024 season on Saturday.
Travin Howard is six foot one and weighs 219 pounds. The 27-year-old from Longview, Texas, made 5 tackles (4 solo, 1 assist) in three preseason games for the Buffalo Bills in 2023.
Before Buffalo, the Los Angeles Rams drafted Howard in the seventh round (231st pick) of the 2018 NFL Draft. Howard played three seasons in Los Angeles with 44 tackles (35 solo, 9 assists), 1 interception for 19 yards, and 6 pass breakups in 29 games, of which two were starts.
In the 2021 playoffs, Howard made 10 tackles (4 solo, 6 assists), 1 tackle for loss, 1 interception for 6 yards, and 3 pass breakups helping the Rams win Super Bowl LVI over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Collegiately, Howard played four seasons at TCU (2014-17) with 333 tackles (191 solo, 142 assists), 18 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, 3 interceptions for 28 yards, 1 touchdown, 12 pass breakups, 4 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries in 50 games for the Horned Frogs. He was a two-time First Team All-Big 12 and a two-time Alamo Bowl Defensive MVP in 2016 and 2017.
