Philadelphia gets destroyed by San Francisco

The Philadelphia Eagles (10-2) hosted the San Francisco 49ers (9-3) on Sunday afternoon in an NFC Championship rematch at Lincoln Financial Field.

Philadelphia got off to a good start in the first two series of the game but came away with two Jake Elliott field goals for 26 yards and 39 yards. They are still having problems scoring touchdowns in the red zone.

San Francisco had 456 yards on offense. Quarterback Brock Purdy completed 19 of 27 passes (70.4%) for 314 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 2 carries for 9 yards. Running back Christian McCaffrey had 17 carries for 93 yards, 1 touchdown, and 3 catches for 40 yards.

San Francisco wide receiver Deebo Samuel and tight end George Kittle combined with 8 catches for 184 yards, and 2 touchdowns. San Francisco’s defense made 61 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 11 pass breakups, and 9 quarterback hits.
