The Birmingham Stallions signed wide receiver Gary Jennings and defensive back Mark Milton for the 2024 season on Wednesday.
Gary Jennings is six foot one and weighs 216 pounds. The 26-year-old from Stafford, Virginia, made 11 catches for 149 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 6 carries for 46 yards in 9 games for the St. Louis Battlehawks (XFL) in 2023. The Battlehawks in the eighth round (59th pick) of the 2022 XFL Draft.
After the season, Jennings signed with the Carolina Panthers on May 16, 2023. He made 5 catches for 72 yards, and 1 touchdown in three preseason games.
Before St. Louis, the Seattle Seahawks drafted Jennings in the fourth round (120th pick) of the 2019 NFL Draft. Jennings also spent time with the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Las Vegas Raiders, and Kansas City Chiefs.
Collegiately, Jennings played four seasons at West Virginia (2015-18) with 168 catches for 2,294 yards, 17 touchdowns, 7 kick returns for 145 yards, and 34 punt returns for 108 yards in 50 games for the Mountaineers. He was named Second Team All-Big 12 in 2017.
Mark Milton is six foot two and weighs 191 pounds. The 24-year-old from Houston, Texas, made 7 tackles (3 solo, 4 assists) in three preseason games for the Carolina Panthers in 2023. The Panthers signed Milton as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He would later join the Miami Dolphins practice squad before returning to Carolina.
Collegiately, Milton played five seasons at Baylor (2018-22) with 97 tackles (69 solo, 28 assists), 2 tackles for loss, 1 interception for 2 yards, 9 pass breakups, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery in 51 games for the Bears. In addition to football, Milton was a track and field star competing in the 4x100m relay in 2019 finishing fourth place with a time of 39.92 at the conference championships.
