The Ottawa Redblacks signed running back Amlicar Polk, wide receiver Daniel Perry, linebacker Josh White, defensive lineman Alexander Fedchun, and defensive back Simon Chaves on Wednesday.
Amlicar Polk is five foot ten and weighs 200 pounds. The 23-year-old from Hamilton, Ontario, had 8 carries for 33 yards in one preseason game for the Redblacks in 2023. The Redblacks drafted Polk in the seventh round (58th pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Polk played five seasons at the University of Ottawa (2018-19, 2021-23) with 187 carries for 1,228 yards, 11 touchdowns, 20 catches for 205 yards, 1 touchdown, and 4 kick returns for 88 yards in 31 games for the Gee-Gees. He was named Lumsden-Avery Award for Sportsmanship and Dedication in 2022 and First Team OUA All-Star in 2023.
Daniel Perry is six foot and weighs 175 pounds. The 23-year-old from Calgary, Alberta, made 1 catch for 18 yards in one preseason game for the Redblacks in 2023. The Redblacks drafted Perry in the fifth round (37th pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Perry played five seasons at the University of Saskatchewan (2018-23) with 140 catches for 2,223 yards, 11 touchdowns, 2 carries for 19 yards, 45 punt returns for 423 yards, and 1 touchdown in 47 games for the Huskies. Josh White is six foot two and weighs 190 pounds. The 23-year-old from Regina, Saskatchewan, made 2 tackles in one preseason game for the Redblacks in 2023. The Redblacks drafted White in the third round (25th pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft.

Alexander Fedchun is six foot four and weighs 233 pounds. The 24-year-old from Calgary, Alberta, made 1 tackle in one preseason game for the Redblacks in 2023. The Redblacks drafted Fedchun in the seventh round (55th pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft.

Simon Chaves is five foot eleven and weighs 200 pounds. The 25-year-old from Guelph, Ontario, signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as an undrafted free agent in 2022.
Collegiately, Chaves played seven seasons at the University of Guelph (2017-23) with 12.5 tackles (10 solo, 5 assists) in 27 games for the Gryphons.
