The Prague Lions signed defensive back Daniel Wright on Monday.
Daniel Wright is six foot one and weighs 195 pounds. The 24-year-old from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, made 35.5 tackles (30 solo, 11 assists), two interceptions for 26 yards, two pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in ten games for the Northern Arizona Wranglers in 2023.
Before Northern Arizona, Wright attended two rookie minicamps for the Atlanta Falcons and Baltimore Ravens in 2022. Then he signed with the Edmonton Elks in 2022 but did not play.
Collegiately, Wright played five seasons at Alabama (2017-21) with 115 tackles (71 solo, 44 assists), three tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions for 65 yards, one touchdown, and ten pass breakups in 58 games for the Crimson Tide. Wright helped Alabama win three SEC titles (2018, 2020, 2021) and two National Championships (2017, 2020).
