The Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-signed offensive lineman Brandon Kemp to a two-year contract extension through the 2025 season on Thursday.
Brandon Kemp is six foot seven and weighs 310 pounds. The 26-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia, played ten games for the Ticats in 2023.
The Ticats’ offense finished seventh in points per game (22.7), fifth in offensive points per game (20.9), fifth in offensive touchdowns (35), fourth in net offense per game (352.0), seventh in rushing yards per game (96.7), and four in sacks allowed (46).
Before Hamilton, Kemp attended training camp for the Indianapolis Colts this year after spending two seasons with the Tennessee Titans. The Titans signed Kemp as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and was on the practice squad.
Collegiately, Kemp played 43 games in five seasons at Valdosta State (2015-19), helping Valdosta State finish the 2018 season undefeated and win the Division II National Championship over Ferris State 49-47. The Blazers’ offense finished the year as the highest-scoring team (728 points), averaging 52 points per game.
