The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed wide receiver Kaylon Geiger on Monday.
Kaylon Geiger is five foot ten and weighs 180 pounds. The 26-year-old from Forth Worth, Texas, made seven catches for 72 yards in three preseason games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2023. The Buccaneers signed Geiger as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and spent the season on the practice squad.
Collegiately, Geiger played two seasons at Navarro College (2017-18) with 100 catches for 1,451 yards, eight touchdowns, three carries for 18 yards, 20 kick returns for 514 yards, and one touchdown in 21 games for the Bulldogs. He was named Second Team All-Southwest Junior College Football Conference in 2018.
Next, Geiger transferred to Troy (2019-20) with 141 catches for 1,625 yards, eight touchdowns, eight carries for 52 yards, one touchdown, 23 kick returns for 545 yards, and five punt returns for 26 yards in 23 games for the Trojans. He was named First Team All-Sun Belt in 2019.
Then, Geiger transferred to Texas Tech in 2021 with 44 catches for 533 yards, one touchdown, 12 carries for 98 yards, and five kick returns for 95 yards in 13 games for the Red Raiders.
