The Montreal Alouettes announced on Monday that the team will hold training camp at the Claude-Beaulieu Sports Center in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, for the next three seasons in 2024, 2025, and 2026.
“We are very happy to come and settle in Saint-Jérôme for our training camp next spring. All fans from the North Shore, but also from the greater Montreal region, located just 45 minutes away, will have the opportunity to follow the practices and the entire training camp from the front row,” said Alouettes Management, Mark Weightman.
“The city has demonstrated great dynamism and capacity to adapt in order to be able to welcome our players as well as all football operations staff. We are all excited to train in an extremely professional environment. The high-quality facilities of the municipality of Saint-Jérôme will allow our footballers to prepare in optimal conditions to be successful again in 2024. We are all very eager to come and meet our fans for this important moment of the season.”
The Alouettes held training camp at Stade Diablos on campus at CÉGEP de Trois-Rivières in 2023, located approximately 150 miles northeast of Percival Molson Stadium. The new location is just over 50 miles northwest of downtown Montreal.
“It is with indescribable enthusiasm, excitement, and pride that we have brought you together around the most popular trophy of the day in the country to announce the realization of a promising project for our entire community. The arrival of the Alouettes in Saint-Jérôme offers us an incredible opportunity to welcome a professional team, but it will also be an opportunity to offer a host of activities for youth, including conferences in schools led by the players,” said Mayor of Saint-Jérôme, Marc Bourcier.
“I thank the Alouettes organization for this great mark of trust, and I invite the population to come and experience professional football in the spring of 2024. Alouettes, welcome to our home, to your second home! In Saint-Jérôme, we are proudly footballers.”
The Alouettes will kick off activities in March 2024 with a family event in the town of Saint-Jérôme.
