Philadelphia Eagles continue downward trend in Seattle

Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts scored two touchdowns on Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Philadelphia Eagles (10-4) visited Lumen Field on Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks (7-7). The Eagles were looking to snap a two-game losing streak. The Eagles’ offense did get off to a good start on the first series of the game when they went on a 15-play drive for 75 yards resulting in a Jalen Hurts three-yard touchdown. Hurts would later score a one-yard touchdown and Jake Elliott made a 27-yard field goal.

The backbreaker of the game came in the fourth quarter when quarterback Drew Lock led the Seahawks on a ten-play drive for 92 yards resulting in a Drew Lock 29-yard touchdown pass to Jaxon Smith-Njigba. An interception by Jalen Hurts ended the game and Philadelphia’s losing streak is now at three games with a 20-17 loss to the Seahawks.

Philadelphia had 321 yards on offense. Quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 17 of 31 passes (55%) for 143 yards, two interceptions, 13 carries for 82 yards, and two touchdowns. Running back D’Andre Swift had 18 carries for 74 yards.

Philadelphia wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith combined with 10 catches logging 106 yards. Philadelphia’s defense made 56 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, three quarterback hits, and two pass breakups.

Seattle had 297 yards on offense. Quarterback Drew Lock completed 22 of 33 passes (67%) for 208 yards, one touchdown, and one carry for -2 yards. Running back Kenneth Walker III had 19 carries for 86 yards and one touchdown.

Seattle wide receivers DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba combined with nine catches for 126 yards and one touchdown. Seattle’s defense made 69 tackles, four tackles for loss, two interceptions, and six pass breakups.
