The Toronto Argonauts signed wide receiver Xavier Malone on Tuesday.
Xavier Malone is five foot nine and weighs 180 pounds. The 23-year-old from Mound Bayou, Mississippi, made four catches for 83 yards in three preseason games for the Atlanta Falcons in 2023. The Falcons signed Malone as an undrafted free agent in 2023 and he was placed on the practice squad.
Collegiately, Malone played two seasons at Northeast Mississippi Community College (2018-19) with 40 catches for 693 yards and five touchdowns in 14 games for the Tigers.
Then, Malone transferred to Henderson State University (2021-22) with 135 catches for 2,352 yards, 18 touchdowns, 11 carries for 86 yards, one touchdown, and ten kick returns for 208 yards in 22 games for the Reddies. He was named Second Team All-GAC.
