The Toronto Argonauts re-signed wide receiver Tommy Nield and defensive back Jamie Harry to one-year year contract extensions through the 2024 season on Thursday.

Tommy Nield is six foot three and weighs 203 pounds. The 24-year-old from Guelph, Ontario, made 32 catches for 384 yards in nine games for the Argonauts in 2023. The Argonauts drafted Nield in the fourth round (30th pick) of the 2021 CFL Draft. In three seasons, Nield made 42 catches for 575 yards and one touchdown in 30 games.

Collegiately, Nield played three seasons at McMaster University (2017-19) with 102 catches for 1,618 yards, ten touchdowns, and two kick returns for seven yards in 28 games for the Marauders.

Jamie Harry is six foot two and weighs 217 pounds. The 29-year-old from Lachine, Quebec City, made 12 tackles in six games for the Argonauts in 2023. The Argonauts signed Harry as a free agent on August 31, 2023.

Before Toronto, Harry played two games for the BC Lions in 2022 with one tackle before he was released. Then, Harry signed with the Elks and made 18 tackles in nine games in the 2022 season. He was released by the Elks on May 28, 2023.

The Toronto Argonauts drafted Harry in the fifth round (38th pick) of the 2019 CFL Draft but failed to make the roster. Then, Harry signed with the Lions as a free agent in 2019. He played two and half seasons for the Lions with nine tackles in 13 games. In three seasons in the CFL, Harry has 27 tackles (25 DT, 2 ST).

Collegiately, Harry played four seasons at the University of Ottawa (2015-18) with 70 tackles (59 solo, 22 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, 12 pass breakups, and 11 interceptions in 16 games for Gee-Gees. In 2017, he was named U SPORTS First Team All-Canadian and OUA First Team All-Star.
