The Calgary Stampeders and defensive lineman Mike Rose agreed to a two-year contract extension through the 2025 season on Friday.

Mike Rose is six foot two and weighs 269 pounds. The 31-year-old from Fountain Inn, South Carolina, made 24 tackles, 11 sacks, and one forced fumble in 18 games for the Stampeders in 2023. He was named a CFL All-Star and CFL West All-Star.

Before Calgary, Rose signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2016. The Stampeders signed Rose as a free agent on May 24, 2017.

This will be Rose’s seventh season in Calgary. In six seasons, Rose has 124 tackles, five tackles on special teams, 30 sacks, one interception, and three forced fumbles in 73 games for the Stampeders. He is a three-time CFL All-Star (2021-23), a three-time CFL West All-Star (2021-23), and a Grey Cup champion in 2018.

Collegiately, Rose played four seasons at North Carolina State (2012-15) with 117 tackles (75 solo, 42 assists), 33.5 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, five pass breakups, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and one blocked punt in 49 games for the Wolfpack.
