The Houston Gamblers signed quarterback James Guarantano for the 2024 on Friday.

James Guarantano is six foot four and weighs 220 pounds. The 26-year-old from Lodi, New Jersey, completed 17 of 30 passes (56.7%) for 232 yards, three touchdowns, and eight carries for 27 yards in three preseason games for the Arizona Cardinals in 2022.

The Cardinals signed Guarantano as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He made Arizona’s practice squad but was released and later signed with the Denver Broncos.

Collegiately, Guarantano played four seasons at Tennessee (2017-2020) completing 494 of 808 passes (61%) for 6,174 yards, 38 touchdowns, 17 interceptions, 196 carries for -62 yards, and five touchdowns in 41 games for the Volunteers.

Then, Guarantano transferred to Washington State in 2021 completing 33 of 49 passes (67%) for 304 yards, one touchdown, three interceptions, and 19 carries for -6 yards in three games for the Cougars.
